Community engagement

Description: Without visibility into the T&L processes, you don't really know what happens to items as they move through the supply chain, preventing end-to-end supply chain traceability (farm-to-fork, catch-to-kitchen).

Lack of data compatibility causes visibility gaps in supply chain like inaccurate supply and demand estimates, manual errors, counterfeiting, and compliance violations. To supply missing linkages between trade and transport processes, it is necessary to assign identifiers that can be referenced throughout any movements or locations of consigned goods.

During this session, you will get updates on the cooperation between UN/CEFACT and GS1 amongst others, and insights on how GS1 standards identifiers can improve the track and trace multimodal process along the journey.
